Do you ever think of your phone as a lethal weapon?  Well, it could be!  A lethal MARKETING weapon, that is.  If you have a business of any kind, your phone can act as a powerful force for you, breaking down barriers and paving the way for you to talk effortlessly about your product or service.

Admit it, most of us carry our phones with us everywhere -- to the store, on airplanes and elevators, to meetings, on vacation -- everywhere.  Now, if your phone featured your business' logo on its cover, you would have a natural conversation starter like no other.  Its almost like carrying a tiny billboard around with you.

Imagine this scene...you get into an elevator with two or three other people. You stare at the ceiling or at the floor.  At most, you say "Hi" or nod your head.  Occasionally, someone will say something like, "I like your purse," or "Nice weather we're having."  But what if your phone case was so compelling that people couldn't stop themselves from commenting, "Quilt My Phone?! What's that?" or "Lost Reflection?"

And there it is, the opening, even if it's only a second or two, to say, "Yes, I design quilt-inspired cases that support museums. Here's my card," or, "Yes, I just published my first novel, do you like vampires?" or "Yes, I'm an interior designer. Would you like my card?"  It's up to you whether you add "Here's my card," "Would you like my card?" or just continue the conversation.  Many times, starting is the hardest part and using your phone as a lethal marketing weapon can help you get past that initial awkwardness.

For the past few days I have been getting packages in the mail that contain some of the quilts that will be part of the Quilt My Phone image collection.  Below is a sneak peek at one of them that I think will be great for adding a monogram or initials. Love the little hearts in the background quilting! Now, back to the creating...

Thanks for visiting the site, which is almost ready to launch!  It has been a wild month since I first had the idea for Quilt My Phone while in Houston, Texas at the International Quilt Festival. I'm still lining up vintage quilt sources, and setting up the website to accommodate online shopping as well as use during quilt shows.

The key to succeeding, I think, is to assemble a very high-quality set of quilt and textile images and that has not been easy.  To kickstart the collection, I have purchased some vintage quilts and I am in the process of having them professionally photographed. One of them will be selected for the background to the Quilt My Phone logo. But I can't do that forever or I'll exhaust my resources!

Several leads to great photographic sources are in the works but if you like the idea of promoting quilt images on phones and laptops, and you know of a source for high-quality quilt images, please send them my way!

This is one of the vintage quilts that is enroute! Not a great photograph but it gives you a good idea of the yummy colors headed my way!
